COILCRAFT
  Announcing Newly Released Inductor Families…

0402HL RF Chip Inductors

The Coilcraft 0402HL surface mount chip inductor family provides high inductance for excellent rf choke performance. The Coilcraft 0402HL family offers excellent space-saving opportunities, by providing inductance values up to 820 nH, more than previously available in the miniature, industry standard 0402 (1005) size. Coilcraft 0402HL inductors are optimized to provide maximum impedance in the range of 100MHz to 1000 MHz.  Sample are available from stock and Designers Kit C453.

PFL4514 and PFL4517 Power Inductors

Coilcraft PFL4514 and PFL4517 are new additions to the innovative PFL line of miniature power inductors. These low-profile inductors offer magnetic shielding, saturation current ratings up to 6.5 A, and inductance values from .68 uH to 22 uH. The PFL4514 and PFL4517 families share a common footprint for design and prototyping flexibility. The unique PFL design provides the same performance found in traditionally larger inductors.  Samples are available individually from stock or in combined Designers Kit C451.

Silicon Laboratories announced the Si5335, the industry’s most easily customizable clock generator/buffer ideally suited for FPGA-based embedded computing, storage and communications systems.  The Si5335 generates up to eight output clocks at up to four unique frequencies to 350 MHz with sub-picosecond jitter. With its simple yet flexible ClockBuilder™ web configuration utility, factory-customized, pin-controlled devices are available in two weeks without minimum order quantity restrictions.

Target Applications

The Si5335 clock generator/clock buffer family provides frequency flexible, sub-picosecond jitter clock sources required in FPGA and PCI Express-based networking, storage, compute server equipment, Ethernet switches/routers, metro/access communications equipment, PON, DSLAMs, network storage, wireless base stations, broadcast video, test and measurement and data acquisition. With its configurable I/O format and voltage support, ideal targets for the Si5335 are applications with FPGAs and/or SoCs requiring a mix of differential output formats besides HCSL used in traditional PCIe applications.

Architecture
The device’s architecture is based on Silicon Labs’ proven MultiSynthtechnology, which simplifies timing challenges by integrating the frequency synthesis capability of four low jitter PLLs in a single device. To maximize design flexibility, each of the four differential or up to eight CMOS clocks is independently configurable to support any signal format and I/O voltage. This combination of frequency and format flexibility simplifies clock trees by replacing fixed frequency clock generators, buffers, discrete level translators and crystal oscillators (XOs) with a single device, minimizing cost, PCB area and power consumption.

Features

  • Generates any frequency, any format, any I/O voltage on each output clock up to 350 MHz, with sub-picosecond jitter performance
  • Easy to customize with ClockBuilder as either a clock generator or universal buffer
  • Supports up to three unique, pin-selectable clock generator or buffer frequency plans
  • User-configurable pin control

o    Master or individual output enables

o    Multi-frequency plan selection

DOW-KEY

Dow-Key Microwave Corporation, the leading manufacturer of electromechanical switches for radio frequency (RF) and microwave applications is proud to announce the release of their brand "Switch Solutions for Systems with Low PIM Requirements".

Dow-Key Microwave Corporation has invested in R&D for new RF switch products and was excited to introduce to the market a family of special RF switches which meet the very stringent and low intermodulation requirements imposed by today's test and communication industries. The launch of the "Low PIM family" has provided capability for a much improved PIM performance (below-160dBc) and is available as an option to users with low PIM needs.

Silicon Lab's Si100x/1x - the industry's lowest power single-chip MCU with an integrated sub-GHz RF transceiver
Si100x Wireless MCUs
The Si100x Wireless MCU family offers devices configured with either 64K or 32K of on-board Flash memory and a maximum transmit output power of +13 or +20 dBm. The Si1004 and Si1005 devices also include an integrated DC-DC boost converter with a switching efficiency of up to 90%, which can greatly increase system battery life.
Increased battery life
The Si100x/1x product family was resigned to provide customers with the lowest system power to enable the longest possible battery lifetime. The Si100x/1x family has the industry's lowest power consumption in active mode, sleep mode, and deep sleep modes. It is critical in these applications to have highly flexible modes of operation in order to minimize the power consumption. The Si100x/1x has the industry's lowest power modes in all three categories:
Active mode: 160µA/MHz
Sleep mode: 615 nA with precision 32.768 kHz RTC; 315 nA with internal LFO RTC
Deep sleep mode: 65 nA, brown-out enabled, full RAM retention; 25nA, brown-out disabled, full RAM retention
Best RF performance
The Si100x/1x devices have an on-board, high-power power amplifier (PA) that removes the need for an external PA in most applications and reduces the system cost while simplifying the overall RF design. The PA in the Si100x/1x is designed to be extremely efficient. Example: At 30mA, the Si1003 can deliver +13 dBm of output power whereas the Texas Instruments CC430F5137 delivers only +10 dBm. This is 2.5x
